Multiple Fires Start Around The Zone

Lake Fire-
Lodge Fire-
Beulah Fire-
Bessey Fire- Fire is controlled
At 4pm Friday, multiple fires have started around the Great Plains Zone.
Lake Fire- Burning near the intersection of HWY 385 and HWY 44, estimated at 15 acres, Federal, State, and local resources, as well as air resources are on scene.
Lodge Fire- Burning in Custer State Park near the Game Lodge, estimated at 10 aces, State and Forest Service resources are on scene
Beulah Fire- Burning south of Interstate-90 and 2 miles east of Beulah, estimated at 3 acres
Bessey Fire- A motorhome is on fire in the Bessey Campground, and has not spread into the wildland

Fire Update 05/06/2015
The Little Spearfish Fire is estimated around 3 acres on Forest Service land and is approximately 80% contained.
Currently the Forest Service road to the fire area has been closed.
The cause of the Little Spearfish Fire is currently under investigation.
Incident #1
At 10:00 AM a smoke was reported by Lawrence County in the Spearfish Canyon.
At 11:00 AM the fire has been determined to be located near the Little Spearfish Trailhead, approximately 3 miles west of Roughlock Falls.
Currently Federal, State, and County resources are responding.
Updates will be given as more information is received.
